One of the goals of the American Gap Association is to facilitate greater accessibility to Gap Year programs. While we have arranged a fairly comprehensive way for programs to show their commitment to the ideals upheld by the AGA, there still are many other programs that either don't fit our definition of a Gap Year, or have chosen not to participate in the AGA. Please feel free to communicate with any of these programs and we highly encourage you to access our Standards (perhaps the abridged ones) in order to vet a potential experience and make sure you have what we've deemed to be the vital elements of a successful program.
